NAILED: You’re a comedian, writer, and actor, but if someone Googles your name, a lot of videos of you playing music come up. Which came first in your life, songs or jokes?
KAREN KILGARIFF: I did regular stand-up first, but there aren’t many videos of that because I started in 1990 BEFORE THE INTERNET EXISTED. Hi.
NAILED: Over at karenkilgariff.com we can almost hear crickets chirping, but your Twitter account is alive and well. Has social media just become the smartest way for comedians to promote themselves?
KAREN KILGARIFF: Yes. Now you shut your dirty mouth about my website I AM A RESPECTED MEMBER OF THE GO DADDY FAMILY.
NAILED: In your career you’ve obviously shared stages with many talented folks, and this weekend is no different. Is there anyone that still awes you or makes you nervous to work with?
KAREN KILGARIFF: I’m excited and nervous to see Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowitz because their show Look Around You is my favorite thing ever made. I’ll definitely act super weird if I’m around them at any point.
NAILED: When was the last time you nailed it?
KAREN KILGARIFF: Question 2.
