Artist Feature: Millo
"Lets play make believe in our pj's!"
Italian street artist Millo takes us away to the childhood adventures we once lived in our imaginations. Filling urban landscapes with detailed cityscape playgrounds, his gigantic child-like characters play make believe in their pj’s. Oblivious to the chaos of the city below, they frolic freely with their cup-and-string telephones, rocking horses, and playing card towers.
This lighthearted aesthetic represented in the escapades of Millo’s murals seem to hold a deeper meaning. With an emphasis on the fragility of human existence in relation to the conditions that host it, he gives us a dimensional approach that explores not only what surrounds us but also what lies within us.
