Artist Feature: Caratoes
"...reverberated eyes pulled me into their universes."
When I first discovered the works of Caratoes I was extra excited by her consistent use of a bright pallet. Her figures painted with reverberated eyes pulled me into their universes. The staggering parts of these characters tend to trick the viewers mind, as it tries to meld the doubles into one. The art of Illusion. Although her characters are completely made up, they somehow encompass a life all their own, seeming lifelike as they interact with the urban environments they live in.
