Artist Feature: Adam Martinakis
A parallel human existence in 3D renderings...

“Our body is the only home that we really have, and the most expressive tool we’ve got. Even when we don’t use it, like when we sleep or just sit and think, we always imagine ourselves in our bodies. I use it as a symbol of human presence.”

Adam Martinakis was born in Lubań, Poland in 1972 and is of Polish and Greek descents. In 1982 he moved to Athens, Greece where he later studied Interior Architecture, Decorative Arts and Industrial Design. Since the year 2000, he has been working and experimenting with computer-generated visual media (3D digital image/rendering – animation, digital sculpture, digital video, new media). Martinakis shares his knowledge of Digital Arts & Design, Graphics, Interior Design, and Ceramic Design at many art institutes. He is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts and he currently lives and works in Poland, but travels a lot to Greece and the UK.
