Failing Haus

Winter is coming, and so is Failing Haus.

Well hello, you.

Failing Haus is an autobiographical series that originally ran here on NAILED from October 2013 to October 2015. If you’re new to the series, don’t hesitate to browse backwards and catch yourself up on all the self-indulgent heartache and woes I’ve spent countless hours of my meager life capturing through comics. After a long hiatus of letting life happen (even longer than noted in this episode!), the FH crew is back, documenting new adventures in talking, laughing, loving, breathing. Turns out I never really shook the whole idea that writing in a diary just doesn’t give me the same satisfaction as opening up my diary to the world. I started this thing when I was a wee 26-year-old bb, and am about to show you that even at 31, I have not matured a single day. Thank you, loyal FH readers, for your love, support, and suspension of disbelief!  It’s going to be a good year!

Robyn Bateman writes things and draws stuff in Portland, Oregon. Their biweekly comic series College was published by NAILED Magazine in the spring and summer of 2013. Robyn is now the author and illustrator of Failing Haus, an autobiographical comic chronicling the small and big events of life, shamelessly. Robyn is also the author of "Oh," a book of poetry exploring emotional trauma and recovery. They make books and other rare artifacts with Lovely Book Club, formerly Dimsummer, a small press dedicated to never meeting deadlines.
