Man! I loved all of these, but this one in particular. My friend and I used to joke about the names for these neighborhoods; used to imagine gangs named after them. The Sabal Point (no e) Bastards or the Sweetwater Hellions. Funny stuff.

I have deep affection for Sylvia, and wrote my story “The Sylvia Plath Cookbook” out of that affection. As a father, I had profound problems dealing with her leaving of her children, but as a poet, I loved how she plumbed her own psyche. I’ve recently been diagnosed with depression. I am becoming a vegan to thwart pills and music is my emotions. Today is “Love is all” by Tallest Man on Earth. Sometimes, when something makes me want to ball up under a blanket and cry, I usually end up doing something productive instead. Sometimes I just need some crazy happy hip hop to keep me in a good mood. Thanks for the post.
