French illustrator, Julien Pacaud creates scenes that are unknown in time and space. He uses vintage imagery from the 1900s to the 1970s, often depicting a distant future. His mesmerizing, surreal worlds seem to tell a story, taking his viewer away to a bizarre “perpendicular dream” where one feels something familiar, yet timeless and strange.
His work is highly praised and often featured in the editorial, music and advertising worlds. The following images do not represent his commissioned work; they are his personal creations.

Shenyah Webb is a Portland-based visual artist and musician. She has been with NAILED Magazine since its inception in 2012 and has served as the Arts Editor and a Contributing Editor since its launch in 2013. A Detroit native, she attended The College for Creative Studies, where she focused on Fine Art and Industrial Design.
